Featuring snowy peaks and a fiery volcano, the Ice Cauldron is one of three new biomes introduced in the latest Hot Wheels expansion for Forza Horizon 5. This biome features four notable landmarks: Magma Canyon, Frozen Apostles, Dragonfall, and Cauldron. Naturally, these attractions are only part of the Ice Cauldron map, which contains various collectibles, races, and other challenges for drivers to complete. However, before players can partake in the exciting entertainment of this zone in Forza Horizon 5, they must figure out how to get there.
First, before entering the Ice Cauldron in Forza Horizon 5, players must own the Hot Wheels DLC. Xbox or PC Game Pass members who have already played the game will need to purchase the expansion separately as it is not included in their subscription bonuses. After purchasing Forza Horizon 5: Hot Wheels, make sure the game is up to date and enter the default Mexico map. Hot Wheels Park is a huge region floating in the sky. Therefore, players cannot enter the zone in the usual way, but must get to a map marker similar to the event, located between Caldera and Guanajuato.
After arriving at the Hot Wheels DLC icon, a scene will appear in which the protagonist is driving up a ramp leading up through the clouds to the Hot Wheels park in Forza Horizon 5. During this game segment, players will be able to drive their car, but will not be able to deviate from the track, until they reach the Hot Wheels outpost in the center of the Nexus. However, they will be able to see all three of the new expansion biomes, including the Ice Cauldron.
How to open the Ice Cauldron in Forza Horizon 5
After completing the initial training in Hot Wheels, the main character will be able to independently reach the Ice Cauldron. To get to this cold zone in Forza Horizon 5: Hot Wheels, follow the southwest track that branches off from the Nexus. After driving through several airways, the player must reach the Ice Cauldron in less than a minute.
Listed below are some of the main activities in the Ice Cauldron:
- Main quest Qualifying round for beginners – “Ice, ice, maybe?”
- Two hazard racing events: “Dangerous Snow Circle” and “Dangerous Lava Ring Sprint”
- Two high-speed racing events: Hot Wheels Goliath and Dragonfall Speedway.
- 8 XP boards to discover along the tracks
- 6 balloons to search on the map
